ClO2 Generator & Systems

Purita provides complete range of solutions with best of features in all our products.

The Key features of our TERSUS® Chlorine Dioxide systems are -

  • Encapsulated Underwater reactor design for safe production of chlorine dioxide.
  • In-Situ, On-demand generation of chlorine Dioxide.
  • Higher than 95 % reactor yield.
  • Customised design from 80gm/hr to 120kg/hr.

Chlorine dioxide generation process:

The process of generating Chlorine Dioxide Solution is on-site, in-situ, on-demand with the help of CLO2 generator wherein chlorine dioxide can be produced by either of the following method;

Two chemical generation method:

5 NaClO2 + 4 HCl --> 4 ClO2+ 5 NaCl + 2 H2O

PROCESS (1): as explained above, chlorine dioxide can be produced using 2 chemical reacting for which NaClO2 (Sod. Chlorite) available a basic chemical commercially supplied as 25-31% in Liquid state, HCl (Hydrochloric Acid) available a basic chemical commercially supplied as 30-33% in Liquid state.

Advatnage :

  • This is one of the injection process is one of the safest processes.
  • This is a CHLORINE FREE process which makes the treatment zone absolutely hazard free. Acid - Chlorite Method system reaction is easy to control.

Disadvatage :

  • Slow chemical reaction process

Three chemical generation method:

2 NaClO2 + NaClO + 2 HCl --> 2 ClO2 + 3 NaCl + H2O

PROCESS (1): as explained above, chlorine dioxide can be produced using 3 chemical reacting for which NaClO2 (Sod. Chlorite) available a basic chemical commercially supplied as 25-31% in Liquid state, HCl (Hydrochloric Acid) available a basic chemical commercially supplied as 30-33% in Liquid state and NaClO (Sodium. Hypochlorite) being produced on-site by existing ECP.

Advatnage :

  • Highly reactive reaction for ClO2 generation.

Disadvatage :

  • In this process liquid chlorine, if fed in excess can leave unreacted and as a Result form THM and HAA5 compounds in the treatment process. Reaction difficult to control to prevent byproduct formation.
